Are You Getting Married?
Getting married is a wonderful feeling. It is the time of enjoyment and fulfilling of dreams but this time is also accompanied by stress and tensions. Read on to find out the different ways of dealing with stress and pre marital blues.
Your big day is just around the corner. The shopping is done, cards have been distributed, all arrangements made (well, almost all). Now all you need to do is sit back and relax, and get ready for one of the most important days in your life.

Everybody wants to be a beautiful bride or handsome groom. But to achieve this, you need to take out a some time, follow a beauty regimen, exercise and eat a balanced diet.

Ideally one must get started a fortnight before D-Day. But if that is not possible, at least a week before the wedding, the bride and the groom should and must learn to relax and unwind.

Here are some easy to follow de-stressors to help them look relaxed on their wedding day.

Detoxifying diet
Pre-marriage blues are not uncommon. But building up of anxiety could lead to several health problems. This however, can be prevented by embarking on a process of cleansing and detoxification. The incorporation of dietary changes, could be the key.

Some of the things to be included in your detoxifying diet are vegetable juices, coconut water, dried fruits not nuts), salads and fresh fruits. Avoid fruit juices and make sure you drink 10 glasses of water daily.

Eating right
Foods play a great role in calming the nerves. And so make a concentrated effort to eat the right stuff.

Try cutting down on certain foods that aggravate flatulence, restlessness and acne. Some of the foods to be avoided are fermented foods, chillies, garam masala, fries and processed foods.

Exercise
Spend a few minutes daily to exercise. It will give you time for yourself and also help tone the body, making you feel energetic and charged. Pranayam, yoga, walking, are some activities which help in calming nerves.

Beauty regimen
Though it is important to have a healthy diet and toned body, for most brides a glowing face is a must. So put together a relaxing beauty routine for your skin. Also, it's no time for experiments, so stick to tried and tested products.

If possible, enroll for a pre-bridal beauty package.

Planning out
Make the best use of your time. Because there is still time make an effort to put together your different ensembles and accessories. This will ease out the last minute running around and stress.

Being happy
It is important to spend time with your near and dear ones.

Indian weddings while steeped in rituals can be a great form of entertainment. But this can be jeopardized by frayed tempers, tensions and disappointments, mainly due to ego problems.

In order to keep it peaceful the bride and the groom-should involve all close family members and friends in the preparation of the wedding by dividing the responsibilities with unquestionable faith and respecting their decisions.

Traditionally the groom's relations are given more importance with the bride family giving them the special attention and extra care.

Special attention should also be taken over place settings to avoid misunderstanding. Close relatives should feel appreciated and respected.

The groom and the bride should learn to be tolerant towards loud relatives of their in-laws as these issues can be tackled later.

The newlyweds are good humouredly teased so do not take this opportunity and break the ice between family and friends.
